Sermon Questions – March 23, 2025
Series: The Gospel of John: Living your Best Life
John 6:1-15; 25-29, “The Right Kind of Work”
1. Opening: Describe a memorable meal you’ve had.  What made it memorable – food, people, setting?
2. Take a look at the different interactions Jesus has over the course of these passages – with the crowd and with the disciples.  What observations do you make about Jesus in these various interactions?
3. Has there ever been an experience in your life where resources seemed in short supply, but then somehow you were surprised by abundance?  If so, share that story.
4. Reread John 6:26 – 29.  In what ways do we follow Jesus for what he can give us or do for us?  How do you understand these two directives Jesus gives to the crowd (and to us):, ” Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval” and “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”?
5.  What is the work of the kingdom to which Jesus is calling you – not just “church” work, but also in your relationships, your vocation, your local community?
