Sermon Questions – April 13, 2025
Series: The Gospel of John: Living your Best Life
Text: John 17:20-26
Title: The Most Beautiful Life

1. Opening: What is the most beautiful thing you’ve experienced? (Sight, sound, smell, taste, sensation)

2. Talk about glory. What is Jesus’ glory (v.24)? What is the glory Jesus has given the disciples (v.22)? Compare with references to glory in John 17:1-5 and John 1:14.

3. Can you think of a time when someone prayed for you in your presence? What was that experience like? How does it feel to know that Jesus prayed for you just before he was arrested?

4. What are different ways for us to contemplate the beautiful loving union of the Trinity? Which practices are most helpful for you?

5. Jesus prays for the unity of the church. How is church unity possible? Why is church unity important?

6. Share stories of how you’ve seen unity in the Church – globally and locally and personally.

7. What’s one thing you’re willing to commit to in the coming week(s), toward living the most beautiful life (#livingyourbestlife)?
