1. Have you worked on a project, maybe something at church or on a service Sunday, or
with your life group where you felt that God was also working? How did you sense that?
What did that feel like?

1. Upon surveying the ruins, Nehemiah tells the leaders that “we are in disgrace” (verse
17). What does he mean by this?
2. Rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem started with deep grief that something was broken
(Neh 1:4) then prayer/fasting/confession (1:4+), planning (2:7, 8, 13) and finally action
(3:1+).
3. When is it hardest for you to act?
